May 11, 2005 - handfastings?

It's come up that one of our members is looking to be handfasted at Lughnassadh. He hasn't officially approached me yet, so this is all speculation and hearsay from the Grove.

If he does indeed want it, though, then I need to be prepared to offer (actually, require) counseling.

Couples should get counseling before they're married, even if we're talking a short term handfasting. There's a commitment involved that goes beyond what's ever expected.

Am I ready to do that?
