March 25, 2005 - Devotional changes

Today I changed my usual routine of daily devotional around a bit. Sort of on a whim.

I lit the fire and filled the well as per usual, but as I stood there, I raised my right hand to be before the well, and then with my right hand still elevated, I raised my left hand to be before the fire. Then I raised my hands still further as if I were a tree with branches touching the sky, and stood there still a moment.

Then my hands came to the center of my chest over my heart and clasped there, fingers interlocking and palms on my heart, and I felt a fire well up inside of me.

It was a strange feeling indeed.
