August 28, 2004 - Hesitation

I always thought that if there wasn't a moment of hesitation, of fear, of uncertainty, then you aren't ready.

Now, I have had to set aside a full year for that moment.

A conscious moment of hesitation. I've decided to stop and look at myself. A whole lot of it is "man in the mirror" sort of stuff. Do I like the man I see there? Do I know who he is? Is he even a reflection?

Sometimes, the self-checks come back to bite me in the ass.
