Developing the Creative Spirit
This working is to be done during a full Core Order of Ritual where the Key Offerings are to Brigid. Keeping back some of the Waters of Life if the omen is acceptable for this working, ask those who wish to receive blessings of creativity to come forward to the fire. Others will hang back, and this can be done in groups of nine or three, depending on the size of the group, if everyone wishes to be blessed with creativity. It requires two priests or two parts (named here simply "Priest 1" and "Priest 2").
[Priest 1]:
Having given to the powers and received their blessings,
We call out now to do the work of this day!
Brigid, lady of smithcraft and poetry, we call to you!
We seek inspiriation, creativity, and innovation
That we may bring beauty and joy to this world.
Hear us now as we call out to inspiration, and grant our request!
The Priest calls forth the first group and sets them on their knees (if possible) before the fire, close enough to feel its warmth, and then stands behind them. The group is instructed to place their hands up in the orans position.
[Priest 1]:
Brigid, these [nine] come forth to you, supported by this Grove who stands behind them, and call out for inspiration from you, with this fire as witness and gifter and these Waters of Life as conduit! Hear us now as we call out:
[All]:
AAAAHHHHHHH-OOOOOOOOOO-EEENNNNNNNN
As the folk call out this Awen, Priest 2 walks around behind them and censes around their head with incense, whispering in their ears, "Brigid blesses your brow with the fire of inspiration."
[Priest 1]:
With the blessing of sacred smoke upon them from Brigid, the folk now call out to Shining Ones to bless their heads with the Waters!
The group is instructed to place their hands on their heads.
[All]:
AAAAHHHHHHH-OOOOOOOOOO-EEENNNNNNNN
As the folk call out this Awen, Priest 2 walks around behind them and asperses them upon the head with the Waters of Life, whispering in their ears, "The Shining Ones bring inspiritation and blessing to your brow."
The group is instructed to place their hands before them.
[All]:
AAAAHHHHHHH-OOOOOOOOOO-EEENNNNNNNN
As the folk call out this Awen, Priest 2 walks around behind them and asperses them upon the head with the Waters of Life, whispering in their ears, "The Nature Spirits bring creativity and blessing to your hands."
The group is instructed to place their hands on their hearts.
[All]:
AAAAHHHHHHH-OOOOOOOOOO-EEENNNNNNNN
As the folk call out this Awen, Priest 2 walks around behind them and asperses them upon the head with the Waters of Life, whispering in their ears, "The Ancestors bring joy and blessing to your heart."
[Priest 1]:
Now, with our hands, hearts, and heads blessed with these waters and a fire of inspiration burning brightly in your hands, go forth and do work in the name of the Kindreds!
If another group of nine wishes to be so blessed, repeat.
