Entry 9

Often we make fools of ourselves. I did it at Philmont last summer, in front of K. and A. and the rest of the Canadian troop. The odd thing is, however, that only I remember the mistakes I made. K. can't remember my foolish/old fashioned words, and I have not talked to A., though I would like to again, just to see about that lodge flap. And her too, of course. Sheeze!

The oddest thing is that people fear what they do will return to haunt them. they don't realize that, according to myth, the properly buried never rise from the dead. If people would laugh off mistakes, they would never need to worry about the ressurection of such foolishness, much like burying a body lying down to keep it from coming back in Norse Mythology.

Once people have found something that bugs you, it will haunt you to no end. This is why one should let NOTHING bug you. This will convey a sense of. . . unfeeling, but you will be rewarded (or cursed) with a degree of peace of mind. Oh, and BTW, I got a new black Pen!

I will, I believe, wear a toga on Mar. 15 Next year, in an un-announced senior toga day. If I worried about such things as image or popularity, I would be confined to. . . Nothing. Consider this: In Popularity, there is no solace, only greater demands.
