July 30, 2005 - Dreams and family

I'm falling asleep to some strange things. The movie Dagon, based on some Lovecraft stories, is on the SciFi Channel, and Alien: Resurrection is on AMC. I'm flipping channels between these two and reading the PGM aloud on occasion.

Strange dreams ought to visit me, I think.

I'm seeing family in Toledo, OH, which is why I have access to cable TV. It's relaxing.

This morning, Anna was still in my basement. She came over to watch The Wicker Man with me, while Tina went out with one of her friends. Well, it got late and we fell asleep on the couch.

When we woke up, I made breakfast for both Tina and Anna, and then Anna and I went to watch Saturday morning cartoons and chatted about magic, two things Tina has never been interested in.

When Anna left around noon, Tina seemed angry with me. I asked her what was up, and she told me that it hurt that I was never able to find time with her, but I was able to find time with Anna.

Today, we're a bit strained.

But, as I think about this, I notice that I have found time with Anna because Anna likes to do many of the same things I do. She likes to hike, laze around watching cartoons, and talk about magic and religion.

Tina never liked those things.

Still, that's no excuse to hurt her.
