April 07, 2005 - Altars
Tonight I stood out in the darkness. The sky was softly blanketed in clouds and the temperature was just right. It was perfect and silent.
I walked across my back porch, down the stairs, across the deck, and onto the ground. I stood now in front of the altar space I cleared last year.
The place Esus' altar has been waiting to be built.
I stood before it and sighed. I looked at the poor quality of the workmanship for the space, then the lack of icon and creativity. It needs so much more.
"I hear," I said aloud. "I understand."
An altar more proper is required.
