March 09, 2005 - A Grove Member Leaves? Maybe?

Today, a member left our Grove. Well, she hasn't told me that she's leaving, but she removed herself from the email list.

I'm unhappy with this outcome. I had, I suppose, always thought that we wouldn't miss anyone that left, but today I find myself missing a member who hasn't even said goodbye.

I've looked at how I reacted to the situation. A number of my Grove members have complimented me on how I handled it. I did, I think, everything right, but I still lost a member.

Is there bad blood? Will this cause problems down the road for the Grove? I don't know. I simply can't tell.

I know it isn't my fault.

I also know I did my best, and actually reacted well.

But that doesn't reduce the sting.
