August 19, 2004 - Chaos Magic and a question or two. . .

Sometimes, I wonder if my consistent (and probably annoying) use of Chaos Magic is going to get the smackdown laid on me by the Clergy Council. After all, why would a person want to deal with a Chaos Magician? What possible good could come of that.

Chaos Magic is, in some sense, the thing that keeps me going. Kind of my lifeblood, if you will. It gets me up in the morning, and it keeps my mind open. I'm often afraid that, if I started acting like a Druid all the time, one of two things would happen:

  1. I'd stop being the person I am, and with that I'd probably change quite a bit in my personality.
  2. I would get incredibly boring.

Well, we can't have either one, can we? I wonder how much of the part of me that is questioning this issue of Clergy is bound up in the Chaos Mage. Does any of it overlap? Is it possible that I already fulfill the obligations of clergy as a Chaote? Or is the idea of clergy just something that my Chaote-self thinks would be fun, something that would give me more "oomph" in the Chaote business?

Gods, I don't know. I'm not sure I'm going to.
