Law and the Church, Requirement 1
List nine (9) laws, or as many as possible if less than nine, concerning clergy that you have found by searching your nearest municipality laws. By municipality, we mean on the village or town level. If there are none, then tell us how you found that out.
[This was difficult. There don't seem to be any local Columbus
laws for clergy (I searched the Municiple
Code for "clergy", "priest", "pastor" and
"rabbi"), so I went for "church" instead:]
Columbus Municipal Code: 2151.13
Churches can control parking in front of buildings if there's a funeral going on, should they post proper signage.
Columbus Municipal Code: 1163.16
Churches are charged 1/2 the actual demand for electric services
Columbus Municipal Code: 2329.04 Unlawful spitting.
(A) No person shall spit, excrete or expectorate saliva or sputum upon any sidewalk, or in any church, theater or public hall.
(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of unlawfully spitting, a minor misdemeanor.
(C) Strict liability is intended to be imposed for a violation of this section. (Ord. 2535-94.)
