Saturday:Etymology: Saturn's Day. What I use it for: Saturn (in Roman mythology) came before the Gods, and stood against Them. Because of this, I use His day to placate the Outsiders, something that is my own idea, drawn from the "Daily Devotionals" workshop given by Skip Ellison (Skip didn't cover the Outsiders, but I placate them because it is an integral part of ADF liturgy). My basic ritual is modified to request that these Outsiders do not trouble my workings for the week, and that they go elsewhere to cause havoc. While I am a devotee of Eris, She promotes creative Chaos, unlike the Outsiders, who promote Chaos to return things to stagnation. My offering to them is something called "Dead Guy Ale", which I found and thought was very appropriate, personally. I do not open myself to the Outsiders. Back to the Observances.
